There’s Still Hope for Collective Bargaining in Wisconsin!

It has been a depressing year for public workers in Wisconsin, but don’t lose all hope. There is still a good chance that we can turn things around before we lose our MPFT contract at the end of June in 2013.

Greetings Fellow MPFT Member!

During this holiday season, we have many reasons to be thankful- health, family, friends and a career where we can make a difference in the lives of others. We also should be thankful that we still have the legal right to union representation- at least until our contract expires in 2013. However, unless things change, many of the hard earned benefits we have become accustomed to and give us the flexibility to be better teachers will likely be gone. Benefits like open campus, work team collaboration to determine work load and union support/representation in management disputes could all be gone.
